Dr. Carranza completed her medical training as well as her specialty in obstetrics and gynecology at the Université de Sherbrooke. She then did a subspecialization in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC). She currently has an Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Sherbrooke and has a strong interest in teaching. She teaches medical students, residents in gynecology-obstetrics training and is the director of the residency program. She collaborates on several research projects including polycystic ovary syndrome.
