You will develop a treatment plan–that will take various factors into consideration–with your physician once your evaluation is complete. The following are some of the things we look at as we design your plan:

Your age and/or ovarian reserve.
We may recommend more aggressive treatment options for women older than 35, or for those who have diminished ovarian reserve.

The length of time you have been infertile.
The duration of your infertility may impact your course of treatment.

The cause of your infertility.
The various causes of infertility have particular treatments that work well for them; this is one of the main drivers of your treatment plan.

Cost of treatment.
Costs can vary widely from treatment to treatment. We will make you aware of specific costs as we determine your best course of treatment so you can make an informed decision.

Treatment success rates.
As with treatment costs, the success rate of each treatment varies. We will provide all of the information necessary for you to make a sound decision.

Desired time to conception.
Each treatment is a different length of time. Your physician will go over the details with you as you decide how to proceed.

Risks associated with each treatment plan.
The primary risks are multiple gestation and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Your physician will make you well aware of any risks you may face prior to beginning treatment.

Desire for additional embryo testing.
The more complex treatment plans give you the opportunity to have your embryos undergo genetic testing. Testing can be very informative in specific situations; your physician will let you know if testing may be beneficial for you.

Desire to preserve additional embryos for future pregnancy.
Some couples wish to create embryos for a future pregnancy while establishing a current pregnancy. Your physician will go over the details of this with you as you design your plan.
